About me
I am Honorary Lecturer and Associate Fellow at the Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Education (CCCSL) at University College London, where I engage in research and teaching focused on climate change education.
Alongside my work at UCL, I independently write and develop resources on climate change education, including an accessible book for young people. I also collaborate with the Isle of Wight Biosphere on promoting sustainable environmental education and responsible stewardship.
With over 25 years’ experience as a geographer and geography educator, I have a proven track record in curriculum innovation, teacher training, and academic leadership. I have designed and delivered training for the Royal Geographical Society and conducted iPad-based geography education training across Asia in partnership with Apple. I edited an edition of the Philip’s Atlas and published extensively in the geographical education press.
My leadership roles include serving on the Senior Management Team at St Paul’s School, London, and teaching and curriculum development at Westminster School and the Dragon School, Oxford.
I hold a doctorate in Geography from the University of Oxford, where I worked with Professor David Harvey. I am a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a Chartered Geographer, and Communications Director of the Oxford Climate Alumni Network (OxCAN) — an international network of Oxford graduates engaged in climate solutions.
